How does your mindset impact the things you experience? (1:00)

“The mindset that we hold, which is the predominant overriding thoughts and beliefs that we have are really going to be shaping experiences that we encounter…”

When things in your life are not going the way you want them to, how can you shift for a better direction? (2:30)

“The first place to start is really by giving yourself permission to take an honest look at what you’re currently experiencing. The good the bad and everything in between. And then giving yourself that permission to release any frustration or shame that may be associated with where you are as opposed to where you want to be…”

What are some practical tools you can use right away to start connecting more deeply with yourself (4:10)

“Have one day that you are just witnessing the thoughts you’re thinking. You know without criticism or judgment. Just take one day and observe whether the thoughts you were predominately thinking are tending to be more positive or if they’re more negative.”

Share with us one of your best networking stories (6:30)

“One of the experiences I had with a previous client, and I wasn’t sure whether or not what I was saying was resonating with the person. And what I had come to find out, is after our conversation the impact of what I had shared with that other person was far beyond what I could have imagined…”

How do you stay in front of your network or community? (8:05)

“What I do is I really allow myself to share my journey, share my experiences, so I do a lot of that you through various social media. And putting myself out there with consistency and that transparency and integrity…”

What advice do you have for business professionals looking to grow their networks? (10:00)

“I would recommend to them to really get clear on who it is that they are, who they’re serving, and once they have that clarity really being able to honor the purpose that they have for that business. I believe that because you have that passion for this business you are in, it is your responsibility really to get yourself out there in front of as many people as you can…”

Digital networking or traditional networking? (11:10)

“I think they both have tremendous value. What I have found is there is nothing like building personal relationships first, before you start promoting each other’s businesses.”

If you could go back 20 years, what would you tell yourself to do more or less of regarding your career? (12:30)

“Believe in yourself, believe what you have to offer is so important and it’s your responsibility to get out of your own way to stop second-guessing thoughts that you have. And know that people are waiting for you to really put yourself out there, so you can offer what it is you do best.”

We’ve all heard of the 6 degrees of separation… Now, who would be the one person you’d love to connect with and do you think you could do it within the 6th degree? How would you start that journey? (13:30)

“For me, I have one of my mentors that has shaped the course of my own business has been Gabrielle Bernstein. And I am personally working on building relationships that will enable that connection to happen.”

What book are you reading right now? (16:20)

“Right now, I’m doing a lot of training on speaking and stage presence. So that’s one of my next big goals is to reach a larger population… it’s from Wayne Dyer, and it’s called the power of attention.”

Any final words of advice for our listeners? (18:00)

“I think it goes back to what we have been talking about, you know with mindset. Really remembering that it's our job to put ourselves out there, to get out of our own way, and to really and fully believe in the service your offering and know people are needing that.”
