What is lean V.O.?
“Lean V.O. stand for lean vertical organizer. And it’s a product that I invented and the reason I invented this product was because as a military service member I always wear a belt.”
What is Startup Grind MKE and why are starting it?
“Well in 2016 I got really involved in entrepreneurship and you know for somebody who came in from the military transitioning, I had to educate myself a lot and had to find out that entrepreneurship is not easy…”
You are starting a million millionaire change agents, tell us more about that?
“when I started working during my entrepreneurship I thought I was doing really well. Until somebody actually introduced me to the notion of financial need analysis.”
Can you share with me your most successful or favorite networking story/experience that you’ve had?
“Well, I shouldn’t even try to go too far. Meeting you was a great opportunity. We met through a networking event…”
What advice would you offer to the business professional who is looking to grow their network?
“You have to be willing to give. Don’t ever go out there to try to get anything. You have to go out there to try to give everything you can. And in return people will appreciate it and will be willing to support you in any way shape or form they can…”
Digital networking or traditional networking?
“I am a traditional guy. I believe in traditional networking. However, I have to say that I leverage LinkedIn a lot.”
If you could go back 20 years, what would you tell yourself to do more or less of regarding your career?
“I would tell myself to stop partying. And start to take things a little more seriously. And another thing I would tell myself definitely is to start investing…”
We’ve all heard of the 6 degrees of separation… Now, who would be the one person you’d love to connect with and do you think you could do it within the 6th degree?
“Personally, I would love to connect with President Obama. He’s a very inspirational individual…”
What book are you reading right now?
“I don’t remember the title but its something that tells you the proper way of saying no, and still getting what you need.”
Any final words of advice for our listeners?
“first understand that you know we live in a community. So, there’s no such thing as a community of one. And we don’t live in a vacuum. Our existence is only defined by the existence of others.”
